Introduction
Lately, in a PC Flight Simulator Forum I saw a screenshot of a Lockheed L.1024G Super Constellation addon for the Microsoft Flight Simulator version FS9. It looked like this and somehow strange for me. It shows a Super Constellation with tip tanks and a radar nose in Lufthansa livery. Until now I never encountered a picture of a Lufthansa "Super G" in all my books and magazines depicing a radome. A typical period photo is shown above. Before I pointed out in the forum that there obviously is something wrong, as always I did some additional research before. To document all data I came across I started this Lockhedd Constellation page.ATS flypast at Air Venture Oshkosh 1

Lockheed L.1049G Super Constellation in Lufthansa Service
List of all "Super Gs" operated with reference to pictures
No Weather Radar on Lufthansa´s L.1049G Super Constellaions.
Lufthansa operated eigth 1049G Super Constellations which entered service in 1955 and 1956. According to [5] Lufthansa did not order weather radar , which was optional on the 749A , 1049G and 1649A series according to [4] (p 97). In all pictures I traced in the list above I do not find any "Super G" with a radome.
